TOTALGAZ now is TOTAL
The first challenge of the LPG business unit as Total will be to enter the e-commerce. On November 22, Total will launch the site www.total-gas.com.ar through which Total’s gas products bottled in 10-and 45-kg cylinders and bulk LPG will be sold to residential customers.
The brand, which has operated in the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) market since 1997, is changing its name to TOTAL. This migration process will be concluded at the end of 2019.
Total Argentina announces that its brand TOTALGAZ, one of the Argentine market leaders in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) marketing, will change its name to TOTAL as of November. The brand migration project is part of Total Group’s 20-year strategic plan that will be implemented in Argentina’s subsidiary to position itself as a global reference player and consolidate the Brand's leadership in the energy market.
Over the last years, Total started a process of transformation called ONE TOTAL, which is a company project launched by the Executive Committee in 2015, for the purpose of translating the corporate positioning “Committed to better energy” into a 20-year business plan, while consolidating a leading and reference position in the global energy market.
To achieve this aim and respond to the new growth and leadership challenges, Total Group has deployed a new internal branding organization. In this respect, through this powerful migration, both Total business units in Argentina (Lubricants and LPG) will benefit from a single brand identity, sharing the same spirit and reinforcing the sense of unity, with an eye on the country’s positioning challenge and the pursuit of the Group’s objective worldwide.
In Argentina, Total has marketed its products in the LPG market under the brand TOTALGAZ and has become the second largest operator in the market since it started its operations in 1997. Its product distribution covers the northern and central regions of the country, supplying gas bottled in 10-and 45-kg cylinders and bulk LPG to industrial and residential customers.
“This migration responds to a Group’s strategic decision, and particularly to the Argentine subsidiary’s decision, to unite both business units – LPG and Lubricants – under the same identity.
